Frequently Asked Questions.
--------
Question: What is Defcon 1: Supreme Conflict?
A: Defcon 1: Supreme Conflict is a mod for Supreme Commander Forged Alliance. This mod has several goals:
-To add many units without their roles overriding with other units.
-To provide very good balance between the units and types.
-To diversify though adding, modifying, or supplementing units.
Question: What kinds of units will be in Defcon?
A: Defcon will include at least 2 new experimentals per faction (3 most likely for Seraphim) along with new role units at Tech 1,2, and 3. These units are not the same as other units. Some might have similar roles, but perform differently. As of now we have 18 units in game and working, however only 9 of which are complete and ready. We aim for around 40-44 units added total.
Question: Does Defcon have its own balance set?
A: Yes it balances the other units so they fit with the faction and become more balanced. This is a separate mod, so those who wish to keep FA balance do not have to be forced to use the new balance. NOTE: Do not expect the balance to be correct and have units without overridden roles with the balance mod disabled.
Question: Does Defcon come with any extras, such as maps?
A: Yes, Defcon 1 Supreme Conflict is much more then a Unit pack. In addition to the balance changes and new units, we will be making maps and campaign missions to play on. Maps are from close quarter 1v1 maps to large 8 player maps. For more information on the finished maps, please see section four.
Question: Is Defcon compatible with the community bug fix?
A: Yes, Defcon actually works in tandem well with the bugfix mod.
Question: What kind of ways will people be able to download the mod from?
A: There will be numerous ways to download the mod. There will be a .rar and .7zip file for people to download and install themselves. Along with that, there will be an Installer that will install the core components, The Unit Pack and the Balance Pack, along with the optional components like the maps and campaign missions.
Question: Is there a scheduled release date?
A: No, not at this time. We do not want to announce it will be coming out but not be finished in time. We will take our time insuring that you will get the most fun out of it when you receive the mod.

Note: these are the units that are complete or almost complete in texturing. Non-textured units are not included.
|||Unit Descriptions
Aeon Illuminate
Annihilator: T3 Sniper Point Defense
The Annihilator is the Aeon high tier base defense. It is a single barreled heavy quantum cannon that fires a single homing bolt of energy. It has the longest range of all point defenses.
Missionary: T2 Arty Bot
The Missionary is the Aeon advanced base assault unit. It fires a salvo of concussion artillery shells at its target, raining down destruction on the enemy base. Most effective in groups, and less effective versus mobile units.
Repentance: T3 Heavy Hover Tank
The Repentance is the longest ranged amphibious unit available to the Aeon arsenal. The Repentance fires quantum missiles over long range, which can seek a target on its own. It is an essential component to amphibious or naval assaults.
United Earth Federation
Democracy: T4 Artillery Airship
The Democracy is the culmination of all Air To Land technology the UEF can muster. With four airborne battleship cannons and a Tactical Missile Launcher, the Democracy can shell enemy fortifications outside of anti air emplacements. The Democracy also contains numerous short range defense systems. Four 70mm auto-cannons along with a missile bay help with defense against anti air, while a bottom heavy cannon helps deals with units directly underneath. UEF engineers decided not to add a lot of armor to the Democracy however, as it would stay out of enemy SAM stations.
Longbow: T1 Light Artillery Emplacement
The Longbow is a cheap but powerful addition to the United Earth Federations basic base defenses. With a cannon that can fire in either a high or low projectile trajectory, the longbow is great for base defense or offense over hills.
Shredder: T1 Shotgun Tank
The Shredder is a great addition to UEF arsenal. It compliments the MA12 Striker in large groups, and is incredibly deadly up close. It is a decently fast truck, with medium amounts of amour and armed with a 12 barrel shotgun.
Behemoth: T3 Omega Tank
The Behemoth is the byproduct of the UEFs ever increasing push to land superiority. Developed at the UEF Omega Factory, the Behemoth is a extremely heavy tank. Its Armour and Firepower are unmatched. Armed with Ionized metal slugs and miniature unguided rockets. However the Behemoth has a slow rate of fire and is very costly.
Thrasher: T3 Advanced Anti-Air/Missile Defense
The Thrasher is an excellent support unit. With its light Surface to Air Missile system, it can help deter lone gunships and is helpful for securing the airspace over your land forces. On top of the anti air capabilities, the Thrasher is armed with a phalanx anti missile system, which allow it to detect and destroy incoming missiles, even while on the move.
Excalibur: T4 Mobile Battle Platform
The Excalibur is the United Earth Federations spearheading experimental, designed to lead the charge and assist your army. It is armed to the teeth with high tier weaponry. It contains two fragmentation grenade launchers, four hiro plasma cannons, two side mounted riot cannons, 2 miniature SAM launchers, and an immensely powerful antimatter cannon. With its varied assortment of weapons and immense armour, the Excalibur is more then worth its weight in mass.
Hedgehog: T2 Mobile Pd
The Hedgehog is perfect for being able to defend a position without engineers nearby. Constructed at your advanced land factory, the Hedgehog can roll into position on its crawler tracks and then deploy into a turret capable of defending and holding an area. However, the hedgehog is slow and vulnerable while transporting.
Cybran Nation
Revolution: T3 Multipurpose Ambush Bot
This unit can get in close and deal insane damage with Disintegrator Pulse Lasers or it can deploy and fire long range Iridium Rocket Packs. Has weak armor plating.
CA-92: T1 Spy Submarine
The spy submarine is a key unit in Cybran basic naval warfare and reconnaissance. It has powerful sonar and radar capabilities, and enormous line of sight when surfaced. CA-92s are also equipped with stealth suits to avoid puncturing its vulnerable hull, as it has minimal armour and has no offensive capabilities.
Raven: T2 EMP Bomber
The Raven is a great Cybran support unit. The Raven drops bombs which can cause enemy units to shut down for several seconds. It is very effective in turning the tides of battle with its Electro-Magnetic Pulse bombs.
Venom: T3 EMP Point Defense
The Venom is the Cybran high tier base defense. Its low range and damage per second may not be its strong points, but it makes up for it with its ability to neutralize enemies within the projectile's blast radius for several seconds. It is recommended using a combination of Tier two and three point defenses for maximum effectiveness.
Reaver: T3 Stealth Bot
The Reaver is a high tier ambush bot. Equipped with heavy laser cannons and an inexpensive stealth suite. Its cannons are high damage but has less then average range.
Seraphim Forces
Vulthuum: T3 Suppression Gunship
The Vulthuum is the Seraphim advanced gunship. It is armed with two Shelo cannons and an unstable phason laser. It is very effective versus land units. However, it is vulnerable to aircraft, as it does not have any anti air capabilities.
Uaas: T2 Naval Wall Section
The Uaas is the naval counterpart to the land wall. Use it to keep enemies out of certain territory or to deflect fire.
Sehovah-Ia: T2 Raid Tank
The Sehavoh-Ia is an incredibly fast land attack unit. It is able to counter ranged land units with its speed. It is armed with an Oh Spectra cannon, and a light Tau cannon. It is also equipped with a light anti air gun to help deter light air attacks and provide light anti air protection.
Uttasoiz: T3 Lightning Point Defense
The Uttasoiz is the Seraphim high tier base defense weapon. It fires its unstable phason laser at an enemy target, and the lightning can arc over to other nearby enemy units. It has decent range and rate of fire.
Yenshavoh: T3 Amphibious Assault Tank
The Yenshavoh is the answer to the Cybran Loyalist and UEF Titan. It is a fast moving attack unit armed with dual Vi-Sau Disintegrator Cannons. It can alternatively build low tier structures with its miniature build suite, and can traverse water to build assault bases.
|||Maps to be included in the Defcon Map Pack:

Pictures to come at later date.
Seraphim Prime
A map on a world in the quantum realm that is controlled by the Seraphim.
