This mod modifies the UI thus that the main view is not hidden under the UI elements. The following is a list of changes:
- On left UI layout, decreases view size from the left. On bottom and right layouts, decreases view size from the bottom.
- The blank area is updated on the fly if the user changes the layout using the ALT+UP or ALT+DOWN keys.
- Supports both normal and split view.
- Displays UI layout name whenever it is changed.
- Decrements the gap between viewports slightly on split view mode.
The mod makes no modifications whatsoever to any configuration files. To return to normal layout, just disable the mod.
----

Normal mode, viewport not drawn under the UI on the left.

Split mode, neither viewport is drawn under the UI at the bottom.

tl;dr: Tired of the UI getting in your way when very near the map border? Not anymore.
Can be found from the vault, search "opaque". Take version 2.|||wait what does this do?
does this move the screen up and reserve the edge for the ui?|||i haven't yet found time to test it, but i presume it will either reduce the area where units and the map are displayed so it does not overlap with the ui, or somehow switch the ui into a see through mode where its hit test is disabled. I'd love the former but judging from the description i expect the latter.
anyhow i'll take a look at it and hope to find a subjective ui improvement.
Thanks Trilkk, will give more feedback once i got this.|||It is the former. The screen estate is reduced and the UI is moved where the screen does not exist. A little more fps, and no worry about the UI blocking where you want to interact.|||Excellent.|||That's great!
I'd love it though if the screen were to resize once no unit is selected.
not sure if that is possible though.|||Excellent! Been waiting for a mod like this. Let's see if we can get some folks from the SCA_UI mod of yore to join in on this.|||JWest|||Ghaleon|||The jump shouldn't be noticeable since the area isn't all that visible to start with.
Though, I'd suppose making an option out of the re-expanding isn't terribly difficult.
And i do want to use all of my screen while i look for new units.
If I get around to customizing your mod to suit my needs would you mind if I included it in my guibg mod Trilkk?|||Ghaleon|||Thank you Trilkk. It'd be great if we could work on this together, as I could use a hint on how to set the map area. Haven't solved how to best query if a unit is selected either.
A merged version of your mod should work as intended, as it does now when run alongside guibg and gaz ui.
I'd make it customizeable, so you can retain its look.|||Can't get The Vault to work on GPGnet, tried clicking it and it does nothing. Anyother way I can get hold of this mod?
