Domino's Current Projects

Hi,
just thought id tell everyone what im currently working on.. here goes..
i have 2 current ongoing projects..
project 1... Shadow queue..
The mod is coming along nicely ive optimised it loads as well as added various funtions
for doing some pretty neat things...
before resin departed he asked me to make the seraphim flying walker .. auto transform to fly to destiantions/targets ect..
here is a little video of what i have made it do with using the shadow queue..

whats happening is that were selecting a target in walker mode the unit is then transforming (changing layers) and flying to the target, when it is in weapons range
of the target it transforms back to the land unit and destroys the target, it then takes to the air again to flies to its next navigation point.
i then demonstrate how the unit transforms to fly round a set of waypoints, do you notice that it doesnt transform to the land unit when it reaches the 1st nav point,
it only transforms when it gets near the last nav point..
in the aggressivemove demonstration you will notice it transforms and flies to within
weapons range of the nav points it then transforms ready for attack nothing to attack? lets fly to our next nav point :)
this mod will open alot of possibilities for tranforming units..
as well as order manipulation.
units WILL keep there current orders when you transform them...

its some laser fenses and gates (each faction has there own unique fense effects)
the laser fenses can be built within 10 clicks of another fense.. they auto join up and create lasers.. as you can see from the blue hit boxes you cannot pass through them.. i didnt show them being destroyed i forgot ;/ but.. when they are destroyed.. you can pass through them.. or rebuild the connections :)
the gate is quite cool. it has 2 functions.. auto open/close and manual,
in auto mode when a unit is close to the gate it will auto open for the unit
when the unit passes through it will close. these 2 mods are both very unique
and are something that has never been done in supcom before.
they will be coming to a game near you soon! :)

if they dont work at 360 rez try the 240 and it should auto switch to 360

Just a quick update,
ive been working on the shadow queue alot since i started this thread,
ive switched/updated at lot of code for better performance + introduced
formation support, with doing this iv created a lot of bugs that need fixing,
its slow work :/ but its coming along.
ive also found away to show in the sim which
units are currently selected, they are added/removed from a global table
the table is 100% accurate and available in any sim units functions.
ill keep yous informed all this week of the progress im making.|||Fences!!! Fences!!!

@Resin, things are getting better pal, im getting a few hours a night on pc, so am fixing up mods, incomplete ones.. mod support, toggles, hunker... all very close to completetion... :) currently ironing out bugs the bulk of it is done..
and then i can get back to the other stuff..

We had gates like this in TA.
Also, your flying assault bot mod is very impressive. I really like what you are doing there.
Could you make a Fighter/Assault Bot that uses target priorities to determine which mode to transform to and fight in?|||Domino|||are the laser fenses and gates being worked on or is thsi a dead project ?|||Manimal
