Time for graphics uplift ?

Now that time has passed and we have more powerful computers will it be possible to improve/sharpen the game textures (terrain/units) ? Is this possible ? Would anyone be interested in doing a high res textures pack for FA ?
That could greatly improve the looks of the game at the cost of some fps but after all a mod is optional.
Was just wondering. :?:|||Well tbh, the game looks pretty good already and is aging well, especially for a game of this size. Only thing I'd like for upgraded graphics though is HDR, rather than bloom, as well as more dynamic water :D|||*puts on sunglasses* 8)

Every AA weapon looks incredibly different to one-another.|||Zataku|||hmmm..... perhaps so, DM, but the timing on the TA spring nuke is a little off. The blinding flash ends too quickly and it makes it look like the fire and explosion effects just come out of nowhere.

Maybe use this as a reference? When you look at that, you get the impression that the enemy has been THOROUGHLY smited.....(smote?)
I agree with you, but only if you pan the camera around while the nuke effect is going off in SupCom. UEF nuke= perfect. You get that thorough smiting effect I mentioned. Cybran is utter crap. Maybe if it looked a little like this...

Aeon is ok, I suppose. Little skimpy on the explosion effects. I'd personally like to get the impression that this weapon causes something to go HORRIBLY wrong, and space-time begins to crap itself inside out.
Seraphim is pretty decent by my reckoning, but as I often like to say, noone ever plays as Seraphim.|||Krapougnak|||Probably so Zataku, if that effect was to be editted to how you mentioned it, then it'd just be perfect if it's been HD'D. As for the Cybran nukes, they need a complete overhaul tbh, it's better off that they have a gigantic fusion explosion of sorts rather than that ugly fireball that just floats in mid air :l|||Resin_Smoker|||As far as nukes go. I believe Kira is working on a few new nuke *splosions and if you add the new WoF mod there's your shiny nuke that blows crap all over the place.|||and speaking of nuke effects, I've been having a thought for a while. If you look at the later mech warrior games, Megas XLR, and the few giant robot shows and games still left out there, you'd notice that mechs do not explode in cataclysmic fashion each and every time. There's just as much a chance as a fatal software or hardware error occuring in response to the damage and the mech falls flat on its back, not blown up, but just as much as a smoking ruin.
Point is, what if ACU's suffered such an error in response to potentially fatal damage? It could just fall over, or it could blow up in your army's face. Kinda like playing russian roulette with a nuclear weapon. :p
